You can use this page to set some limits for yourself before you gamble, and to find independent help if gambling has stopped being fun. It also explains plainly what this site cannot do for you, so you know where to go instead.
What can't this site do if you want to stop?
Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are settings you arrange inside your own account with the operator you play with. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one of those controls on, check it or enforce it. If you want one in place, set it up in your account at the destination.
Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place here. Any check of that kind happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at you based on how you have behaved.
Who is gambling meant for here?
Only adults. The eighteen-and-over restriction appears throughout this build, including on the front page. If you are under eighteen, leave the operator links alone.
How do you keep gambling under control?
- Decide the amount before you start. A limit you set while calm holds up better than one you try to set mid-session, when wins and losses distort your judgement.
- Treat that amount as already spent. If you think of it as the price of entertainment, a loss does not feel like a debt you need to recover.
- Never chase a loss. Each bet is independent, so raising your stakes to win money back only increases what you can lose.
- Keep borrowed money out of it. Credit or loans turn a bad night into ongoing repayments and interest.
- Take breaks. Time away interrupts the momentum of play and gives you a moment to notice whether you are still within your plan.
- Involve someone else early. When gambling stops being entertainment, a trusted person can see patterns that are hard to see from the inside.
Where can you find independent help?
Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to six independent gambling-help organisations:
- BeGambleAware
- Gamble Aware
- Gambling Therapy
- G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
- GAM STOP
- NCPG
Each is an independent source of help. Use the links to them on this page to reach their own websites.
How are these help links different from the others?
They are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when you follow them.
